FunmiTory - More than Conqueror

 

Funmilayo Toriola, with Funmitory as stage name is a Nigerian gospel artiste. She was born some decades back in the city of Ibadan , Oyo State, Nigeria, into the household of “Pastor Sunday Israel Awe and Mrs Dorcas Awe.

She hails from Ipao-Ekiti in Ikole local government area of Ekiti State, Nigeria.

A graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, where she studied Biochemistry

Married to her Ever Supportive husband, Kayode Toriola and blessed with beautiful children.

 

Her music career dates back to her days as a teenager and youth choir member in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Oyo province 1 where she was regularly featured during the church programmes. This continued through her university days and even after her National Youth Service Scheme {NYSC}

 

Funmitory came into limelight when she was made the Assistant Choir Co-ordinator of the RCCG Solution assembly, Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria, the position she held until she relocated to the United State of America where currently resides with her family in search of the proverbial “greener Pasture”. While in Nigeria , Funmi started her musical band called Funmitory & Friends in 2012,becoming a household name in virtually all churches in Ibadan with her anointed voice which she uses to bless her teeming audience. In addition to that,

Renowned for her annual musical concert tagged “Funmitorry in concert” between 2012 and 2016 and also various ministrations in different churches .

 

Back In 2014, the sensational singer blessed the public with her first single titled “ANOTHER DAY” produced by an iconic producer, Edward Sunday. The single shook the airwaves as many radio stations made it their national anthem then. She also did several collaborations with popular Award winning gospel artistes such as  Big Bolaji , YemyTpx,Oluwasolafunmi, and Babatunmise to mention but a few.

Her type of music is gospel fusion of R&B and soul.

After a few years of settling down in the US she decided to relaunch herself back into the gospel music space with another soul lifting single titled alongside with the Video

“MORE THAN CONQUEROR’” produced by another popular Nigerian-American producer, Wale  Owoade. This song is bound  to bless souls across the world
