Red Bull Neymar Jrs Five Gives Nigerian Young Footballers Hope

 Nigeria’s biggest five-a-side tournament Red Bull Neymar Jrs Five is taking Nigerian footballers to Quatar to compete with world champions.

 

 

16 Teams assembled to battle for the top spot as the country’s representative at the World Finals in Quatar at the National finals on the 23 of April, 2022.

 

8 Matched kicked off the first round with 4 teams emerging as the quarter finalists.

 

The semi finals were decided by the results of this quarter finals which lead to a grand final between Holy Sons football club and Kaizer FC.

 

The final match was a surprising breeze for Holy Sons who ended up outplaying their opponents by 5 goals to nothing.

 

This was a well deserved victory as they also made it to the national finals last year, but were knocked out.

 

This year signaled their breakthrough as they emerged the winners of the Red Bull Neymar Jrs Five National Finals.

 

The women’s tournament of the competition saw She United emerge the winners, defeating their opponents by 5 goals as well.

 

The final presentation of Trophies was done to entertaining music even as Kaffy’s dancers thrilled the crowd while the trophies were hoisted by the emerging champions.

 

The victorious teams will be representing the country in Quatar where they will get a chance to play against Neymar Jr.
