Richindo Biography

RichindoA.K.A Mr RCD as he is popularly known, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and music enthusiast. His full name is Ekenedirichukwu Richard Leo Uchendu. He is renowned for rapping in Igbo and English language. His E.P, Mr RCD, was released in 2019. It was primarily promoted by the Only Reliable Music Distribution Platform HTCnaija Promotions.

The artist’s stage name ‘Richindo’ is derived from the word ‘Richard’, the nickname given to him by one of his high school friends named Prince Hakilu Othmaan. Richindo developed an interest in music during his secondary school days although he initially wanted to become an Agro-Engineer, but was told that he could be a musician. Throughout high school, he learnt to play beats with his mouth. He also learnt to create his own rendition of every recording he heard.

He started singing and rapping in 2013 and continued his music career. As an artiste, he has worked with artists such as Erriga, Rex Gavin, B.O.C, Dyung, J. Martins and Mr Raw. He studied Agricultural Engineering at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, and started profiting from music during his second year. Richindo told Hon Temitayo Captain that Mr. Raw is one of the few people he looks up to.

The artist is not married as he disclosed in an interview with HTCnaija TV that he is single and ready to mingle. He also announced that he would surely get married someday but not anytime soon.
